Unfinished Business – More National Parks for Scotland

On Wednesday a reception arranged by the Scottish Campaign for National Parks (SCNP) was held at Scottish Parliament. The reception was aimed at raising the profile of the campaign with MSPs, NGOS and others. Speakers from Scotland and Europe celebrated the achievements of Scotland’s two National Parks and an ambition by SCNP to establish more National Parks in Scotland was pledged.

The evening was opened by MSP Finlay Carson. Presentations were given by Sir Alex Fergusson president of SCNP and John Mayhew Campaigns Project Manager followed by a presentation from the main speaker Carol Ritchie, Executive Director of the Europarc Federation.
