VisitScotland parliamentary reception

VisitScotland held a parliamentary reception at Holyrood this week at which the Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs, Fiona Hyslop MSP addressed guests on the Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology 2017. The well-attended event also included stalls from the National Trust for Scotland, Dig It! 2017, and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

VisitScotland also unveiled a new virtual reality app – Scotland VR – which will enable potential customers to look at destinations throughout Scotland before they travel. The app will be available via app stores in the coming weeks. At present the app contains core destinations and information, but it is designed to be able to add more destinations over time.
