Grampian Biomass Working Group Meeting

The next meeting of the Grampian Biomass Working Group is scheduled for Wednesday 22nd February at Glen Tanar Estate, just outside Aboyne (  )

As usual tea/coffee will be available from 09:30am with meeting start at 10:00am.

A sandwich lunch will be available at 12:30 to allow networking after the meeting.

We again have a very full and mixed agenda lined up for the meeting (attached draft copy). Guy Milligan has kindly agreed to give us an overview on heat networks; we will discuss the results of the RHI Consultation that were announced just before Christmas, and will look at the groups’ aims and direction following the member survey in 2016; in addition to hearing about the biomass installation at Glen Tanar.

We are pleased to announce that the Soil Association in conjunction with usewoodfuel are also holding an afternoon session following on directly from the Grampian Biomass Working Group Meeting from 13:30 – 16:00, entitled “Woodland Management, Woodfuel and Getting on the List!”.  The details of the afternoon session can be found here:,-woodfuel-and-the-bsl.aspx

You are welcome to attend for just the morning, just the afternoon or for the whole day.  As this is a joint event we are using a booking system for attendance – please click this link to select if you are attending for one or for both sessions:
