Wildlife Trust launches its blueprint for land stewardship in Scotland

On Tuesday the Scottish Wildlife Trust launched a consultation draft of its blueprint for rural policy in Scotland in the years to come.

The Wildlife Trust advocate that public funds for land-based business, which it wants retained at current levels, should be used to deliver environmental public goods rather than to support farming activity per se.  The Trust are looking for thoughts and comment on their proposal over the next 3 weeks.  The Trust’s briefing and full document are attached.  Scottish Land & Estates will respond and members can send their comments in this regard to Anne Gray at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
