Fuel Poverty Research Network Reception

MSP Andy Wightman hosted a parliamentary reception regarding Fuel Poverty Research. Two researchers presented their papers. The Speird Project looked  at influences on fuel poverty in rural and island Scotland, while the second study looked at vulnerable fuel poor tenants’ experiences and expectations. Housing Minister Kevin Stewart gave a short presentation on the governemt’s commitment to tackling fuel poverty. A consultation on Regulation of Energy Efficiency in the Private Sector is due in the next few weeks.
