Commencement of Tay Catchment Beaver Surveys

At the request of Scottish Government to establish up to date beaver numbers, and to support forthcoming work on beavers, SNH is to carry out a survey of beavers across their range in east-central Scotland and Knapdale. 

The Tay Catchment beaver surveys are scheduled to commence on Monday 17th April on the River Tummel. The survey work has been awarded to the University of Exeter under the leadership of Richard Brazier, the Scottish fieldwork is being led by Roisin Campbell-Palmer.
