New planning fees take effect

As of 1 June 2017 a series of new planning fees has been implemented, raising the fee maxima across many areas. The new fee maximum for major applications for most categories of development is £125,000 and £64,500 for applications for planning permission in principle. The Scottish Government has decided to exclude the agriculture and aquaculture categories of development from the fee increase. For more information on how the fees will be applied, please see our information sheet here.
