UK Government Budget

The UK Government Budget took place on Wednesday.  The full speech is here...  


Headlines include:
• Brexit - £3bn to be set aside across UK over next two years to prepare UK for every possible outcome as it leaves EU
• VAT threshold for small businesses remain at £85,000 for two years artificial intelligence
• £500m across UK for 5G mobile networks, fibre broadband and business
• £2bn for Scottish Government and progress is being made on city deals for Tay Cities and Stirling, and on a growth deal for the Borderlands.
• National Living Wage - from April!will rise 4.4%, from £7.50 an hour to £7.83.
• Scottish police and fire services to get refunds on VAT from April 2018
• Fuel duty on petrol and diesel will be frozen, but higher road tax on diesel cars (not vans)
