ADMG Meeting - 23 November 2017

ADMG met today (Thursday 23 Nov) at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.
Chairman Richard Cooke led a poignant tribute to Stephen Gibbs, who died last week and will be buried in Arran on Monday 27 November.
The Agenda for the day included updates on Habitat Impact Assessments (including SNH financial support £1800.00per DMG and  ADMG good practice workshops in the Spring of 2018 in Birnam and Inverness). Richard also advised on the establishment of the new Deer Working Group chaired by Simon Pepper, and highlighted two new commissioned reports, Trends in Woodland Deer No 968 and Trends in regional differences in red deer density  No 981
SNH also advised on recent changes in senior staff and Board and highlighted the need for a high level of collaboration within DMGs. Linzi Seivwright provided an update on best practice guidance available to DMGS.
Secretary Finlay Clark reported a healthy budget position.
