Rural Housing Fund Extended

The Housing Minister has agreed that the Rural and Islands Housing Funds will be extended from a three year period to a five year period (2016/17 to 2020/21). The guidance on the Scottish Government website will be updated shortly to reflect this. There will need to be a time limit set within the revised timescales for receipt of new main fund applications. It is also likely that the feasibility fund will not be open for new applications after 2019 in order that projects can deliver within time. A view on when these time limits will apply will be taken in due course and will also depend on the number of projects coming forward within the original three year funding window.
