Visit to the MacRobert Trust Estate and Douneside House

Members can visit the MacRobert Trust Estate and Douneside House  on 26 March 2018.  


At the heart of The MacRobert Trust 7,200 acre estate in Aberdeenshire is Douneside House. In June 2016, Douneside was reopened following an extensive renovation project.   Douneside House was highly commended in Scottish Land & Estates Helping it Happen Tourism Award category 2017. The Trust has a range of developments and projects that may be of interest to members.
10am - Meet at Douneside House ( for an introductory chat and coffee.
Walk around Douneside to see Health Club, gardens, biomass heating and solar PV.
If time allows, estate tour.  Topics to discuss will include agricultural tenancies, rural housing and community engagement.
Light lunch at Douneside at 1.00 pm.
