As part of the stakeholder engagement, a meeting will be held on 22 February 2018, 10am – 1pm, at Woodhill House, Westburn Road, Aberdeen AB16 5GB. Some of the issues already identified and likely to be discussed at the meeting include:
Definition of “small-scale” development/ appropriate scale of development in the countryside.
Brownfield development/ re-use of existing buildings.
Subdivision of rural sites.
Housing for farm workers/ retiring farmers.
Organic growth.
Definition of a “cluster”.
Rural design.
There will also be an opportunity to discuss the current call for sites and any general questions surrounding how to submit a bid. The outcomes from this seminar will then help to inform the MIR and draft proposed local development plan, which is expected to be published in late 2018.
