Historic Environment Scotland (HES) produce new guidance note

HES has published a new guidance note, Managing Change in the Historic Environment: Windows. This replaces the previous guidance note, originally published in 2010, and sets out the principles that should apply for anyone considering altering the windows of an historic building.

It will also help guide decision makers in assessing changes to the historic environment in line with Scottish Planning Policy and Historic Environment Scotland Policy Statement. All of the guidance notes in the series can be accessed on the Managing Change in the Historic Environment page of our website.
