Rural Cross Party Group - Policing in Scotland

Earlier this week SLE attended the Rural Policy Cross Party Group in Scottish Parliament. There was an excellent line-up of speakers who provided perspectives on a variety of issues relating to policing and crime in rural Scotland. They included:

  • Inspector Jane Donaldson (Police Scotland Rural Crime Co-ordinator): Rural Crime Prevention in Scotland: A Partnership Approach
  • Sergeant Andy Mavin (Police Scotland Wildlife Crime Co-ordinator): Tackling Wildlife Crime in Scotland
  • Chief Inspector Murray Main (Police Scotland, Northeast Division): North East Scotland Rural Crime & Safety Partnership
  • Andrew Woof (Lecturer in Criminology, Edinburgh Napier University): Policing the rural: challenges, perceptions and contexts
