Scottish Renewables annual conference

Scottish Renewables held their annual conference last week where First Minister Nicola Sturgeon spoke of challenges to supply chain and skills base as a result of Brexit. Vicky Dawe, Deputy Director for Renewable Electricity Support Schemes at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy spoke at the event commenting that £100 million remains to be spent on FiT until the end of the scheme in 2019.

Ms Dawe added, “We will set out our plans for the future of small-scale generation later this year” and “we are also looking to bring forward innovation which would allow this sector to deploy subsidy free”.
