Helping Scottish farmers stay resilient in changing times

In December, the Farm Advisory Service (FAS) issued the first in a series of case studies showcasing the experiences of farmers who have been able to improve specific aspects of their business through the support available to them from FAS. 
 
Please see below, the latest set of case studies featuring personal accounts from two farming business owners who identified a need to adapt how their business operated and were proactive in commissioning a professional Integrated Land Management Plan (ILMP).
 
Bitney MacNab, Cairnston Smallholding – sought funding help to transform her bed and breakfast business into a sustainable, eco-friendly smallholding.
Fergus Laing, Glenbeg Estate – a highland estate owner who needed help to evaluate future options for his tenant farm.
