David owns and manages Annandale Estates, just south of Moffat in Dumfriesshire. The Estate enterprises comprise a mixed upland stock farm consisting of North Country Cheviots and a pedigree Luing cattle herd, along with 16 let farms. The Estate also runs a forestry operation, a residential and commercial property letting and renovating business and has embraced renewables, with a biomass boiler using fuel grown on the Estate, in addition to hydro schemes.
David also chairs Moffat Town Hall Redevelopment Trust, is Vice Chairperson of the local Village Hall Redevelopment Trust and is a Director of the Dumfries and Galloway Small Communities Housing Trust.
If you were a Scottish animal, which would you be and why?
A salmon, because it always unerringly heads home - and with my fishing skills it would be fairly safe!

Anywhere near a links golf course, just lucky that all the best ones are in Scotland!
