Donald Greig joined Scottish Land & Estates in August 2023. After several months covering the role of Regional Manager - SE Scotland, he moved into the position of Membership Communications Manager in March 2024, in which he manages all communications to SLE members, ensuring they are kept abreast of developments in a timely manner.
Prior to joining SLE, Donald worked in a wide range of roles in the private, public and third sectors, from hands-on project management to director and non-executive positions. After a career in travel and wildlife publishing in the UK and Australia, he moved into rural development, working for the Southern Uplands Partnership focusing on the implications of changing patterns of land use on the social, cultural, environmental and economic life of the central southern uplands.
In his spare time Donald is still involved in publishing as a researcher and writer on travel and walking books commissioned by publishers Bradt - where he was previously Managing Director - and Pocket Mountains.
