Descended from Anglo-Spanish parents, Susana hails from a rich farming background. She grew up in the picturesque region of Granada, Southern Spain, where her family farmed olive groves and almond trees and produced Jamon serrano, while her great grandfather was an arable farmer who reared shire horses in North Yorkshire. This early connection with farming instilled in her a strong work ethic, a love of the outdoors and a deep personal connection to the rural sector, which combined with her business acumen has shaped her approach to both work and life.
Susana's career started with Tour operator Airtours, with whom she progressed through the ranks working in various overseas destinations – an experience which honed her ability to meet clients' needs.
Since then, Susana has worked across both private and public sector organisations in executive search recruitment and with the Association of Accounting Technicians, where she looked after Scotland and Northern England, including the education and private training sector. In her most recent role she worked as a National Client Relationship manager within the energy sector for two rural partnerships.
Susana prides herself on thinking outside the box and initiating projects to benefit the wider business and revenue. She is delighted to have joined the team at Scottish Land and Estates.
