Our members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s Central Members’ Regional Reception, to be held at Blair Castle, Atholl Estates, Pitlochry PH18 5TL at 5.30pm on Thursday 9 November 2023.
The theme of this year’s event is The Wellbeing Economy. The programme will include key updates on the political and policy context of SLE’s work on the contribution of estates to rural Scotland and highlight the importance of this work in the current land reform debate, ahead of a new Land Reform bill. We are delighted to announce that our speakers will be Sarah Madden, SLE Policy Adviser (Rural Communities) and, from Atholl Estates, Resident Trustee Bertie Troughton.
This is also your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. We’ll have an organisational and political update from SLE Chairman Dee Ward and our Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Laing; also, a policy update from SLE’s Director of Policy, Stephen Young.
There will be a Q&A, providing plenty of opportunity for animated discussion and debate with fellow SLE members and colleagues.
This event provides an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues, Central Regional Chair Antony Gifford, committee members, and your Regional Manager, Ruth White.
