In 2019, Dumfries and Galloway Council declared a Climate Emergency and set the target of becoming net zero by 2025.

With the ambitious target now less than 4 years away this members virtual roundtable is the ideal opportunity to hear what progress has been made and also how you can play your part in making our region Net Zero by 2025.

Join us on Thursday 11 February 11:00 – 12noon to hear from Sarah Farrell, D&G Council’s Climate Emergency Project Officer who will give a short presentation that will set out the work that has been going on behind the scenes following the declaration of the climate emergency. Sarah is also keen to hear from SLE members so there will be the opportunity to ask questions and have member discussions.

Members may find it useful to read Dumfries & Galloway Council 12 Point Action Plan which highlights the commitments that will be implemented to meet the Net Zero target by 2025.

This event is aimed at all members in the Dumfries and Galloway local authority are
