You are invited to attend an SLE Estate visit, which will be held at Ford and Etal Estates on 4 June 2019.
Ford and Etal Estates is a large rural agricultural estate owned by the Joicey family, which encompasses many wide-ranging attractions and activities, as well as accommodation. Ford and Etal covers the Scottish Border, the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland coastline, centred on the two villages of Ford and Etal.
Ford and Etal Estates through their unique brand, have successfully supported 26 businesses tenants, building an exemplary relationship between landlord and business that is thriving. The visit, led by Lord Joicey, will focus on the estate’s marketing strategy, providing an overview of the business model being used, which has helped it become a popular tourist destination.

• Heatherslaw Light Railway
• Heatherslaw Corn Mill
• Made at Heatherslaw – jewellery and paper-cutting
• Alice’s Pantry – additive-free snack bars
• Heatherslaw Visitor Centre
13.00 - Lunch at Heatherslaw Granary Café
Option after lunch:
14.00 Heatherslaw Light Railway return trip to Etal. Return trains at 14.30 or 15.30.
