Our members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s Highland Members’ Regional Reception, to be held at The Peregrine Suite, Macdonald Aviemore Resort, Aviemore, PH22 1PN at 4.30pm on Wednesday 1 November 2023.
The theme of this year’s event is Environment, Economy and Community – the Contribution of Rural Estates. The programme will include key updates on the political and policy context of SLE’s work on the contribution of estates to rural Scotland and highlight the importance of this work in the current land reform debate, ahead of a new Land Reform bill. We are delighted to announce that our speakers will be Sarah Madden, SLE Policy Adviser (Rural Communities) and from our sponsor Strutt & Parker; Jonny Willett, Senior Associate Director and Gillian Ferguson, Associate Director.
This is also your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. We’ll have an organisational and political update from SLE Chairman Dee Ward and our Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Laing; also, a policy update from SLE’s Director of Policy, Stephen Young.
There will be a Q&A, providing plenty of opportunity for animated discussion and debate with fellow SLE members and colleagues.
This event provides an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues, Highland Regional Chair Rob Whitson, committee members, and your Regional Manager, Fiona Van Aardt.
