Our members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s North East Members’ Regional Reception, to be held at Beldorney Estate, near Glass, Huntly AB54 4EX at 2.00pm on Monday 22 November 2021.
This year’s event will be hosted by Bunloit Rewilding and the theme is ‘Natural capital and the Bunloit Rewilding approach’.
From Bunloit Rewilding, we will hear from Jeremy Leggett, about the philosophy that is driving the development of the Bunloit and Beldorney Estates, enabling nature recovery and community prosperity through rewilding. We will also learn about the initial findings from the natural capital verification science at Bunloit and the approach to making nature-based solutions investible and scalable.
This is also your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. We’ll have an organisational and political update from SLE Chairman Mark Tennant and our CE Sarah-Jane Laing; also, a policy update from SLE’s Vice Chair of Policy Dee Ward, and Head of Policy Stephen Young.
There will be a panel discussion and Q&A, providing plenty of opportunity for animated discussion and debate with fellow SLE members and colleagues.
This event provides an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues, your NE Regional Chairman, David Fyffe, and North of Scotland Regional Coordinator, Fiona Van Aardt.

There will be a limited number of places available on a Walk & Talk around Beldorney Estate which will start at 11:00 followed by a sandwich lunch before the Regional Reception commences at 14:00. More details to follow.
