South East Members Regional Reception

Our members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s South East Members’ Regional Reception, to be held at Dalkeith Country Park Restoration Yard, Dalkeith Country Park, Via King’s Gate, Dalkeith, Edinburgh, EH22 1ST at 4.30pm on Wednesday 23 November 2022.

Our theme is ‘Diversification and Innovation’ and we have an excellent line-up of speakers.

We are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker will be Tommy Dale, Founder and Director of Forth Resource Management Ltd on the theme of ‘Benefits of Doing Good Through Rural Business’.

There will be a panel discussion and Q&A, providing plenty of opportunity for animated discussion and debate with fellow SLE members and colleagues. Our panellists are; Remko Plooij, Managing Director of Dalkeith Country Park & Restoration Yard, Edward Maitland- Carew, Owner of Thirlestane Castle, Simon Usher, Owner of Dunglass Estate, Tommy Dale, Founder and Director of Forth Resource Management Ltd, Jon Crompton, Private Banker, Landowners Client Group, Coutts & Co, and Sarah-Jane Laing, SLE Chief Executive and Panel Chair.

This is also your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. We will have an organisational and political update from SLE Chairman Mark Tennant and our Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Laing; also, a policy update from SLE’s Head of Policy Stephen Young.

This event provides an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues, your SE Regional Chair Trevor Jackson and South of Scotland Regional Coordinator Clare Sturla.
