Our members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s South West Members’ Regional Reception, to be held at Boswell's Coach House, Auchinleck Estate, Barony Rd, Cumnock KA18 2LR at 4.00pm on Wednesday 8 November 2023.
The theme of this year’s event is The Future of Productive Woodland in Scotland: Challenges & Opportunities. We are delighted to announce that our main speaker will be Dave Robertson, Director of Investment and Business Development at Scottish Woodlands. There will also be a panel session with contributors including Dave Robertson, Oscar Yerburgh, owner of Barwhillanty Estate and SLE’s Eleanor Kay, Senior Policy Adviser (Agriculture & Climate Change).
This is also your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. We’ll have an organisational and political update from SLE Chairman Dee Ward and our Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Laing; also, a policy update from SLE’s Director of Policy, Stephen Young.
There will be a Q&A, providing plenty of opportunity for animated discussion and debate with fellow SLE members and colleagues.
This event provides an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues; South West Regional Chairs Laura Warrender and Sir David Hope-Dunbar; committee members; and your Regional Managers, Nic MacLeod and George Moore.
