Scottish Land & Estates invite the whole family to our stand at this year’s Turriff Show
This year’s show will take place on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th August and we’ll be sharing the SLE stand with Police Scotland’s National Rural Crime team.
On the Sunday, why not bring the family along to see the Police Scotland tractor – the new, branded, high-vis Valtra has been a huge attraction across all the summer shows. We’ll also have quizzes, games and badge-making for the younger members of the family, giving you the chance to enjoy a refreshment and have a chat with the SLE team and your NE regional committee. Our Agriculture & Forestry and Rural Business & Property Policy Advisers will be on hand to answer your questions over both days of the show.
Our partners from the National Rural Crime team are also very keen to meet members and to hear about your own personal experiences of rural crime. Their highly visible presence at the show will provide opportunities to engage with farmers and spark dialogue about rural crime between the police and the wider farming community.
On the Monday, members are invited to join SLE on the stand for networking, discussion and refreshments. We’re looking forward to meeting lots of our North East members; as well as welcoming local politicians and SLE partners who will be popping onto the stand throughout the day.
In the morning, we are supporting an RBS-sponsored Women in Agriculture Breakfast with the opportunity to hear passionate speakers such as Joyce Campbell of Armadale Farm (well-known sheep farmer, Sheep Farmer of the Year 2015/2016, and joint Chair of the Women in Agriculture taskforce) together with Caroline Millar of GoRural and very successful rural tourism business, The Hideaway Experience.
We look forward to seeing you at Turriff!
