There are over 280 species of bees in the UK that include our bumblebees, the honeybee and solitary bees. Bees are important insect pollinators and are vital in the production of many of our fruits including apples and strawberries, many of them are also visually very attractive. This free online workshop is an opportunity to learn more about the diversity of Scottish bees, identification of some of the commonly seen species and how to survey and monitor them.

Bring your own photos of bees to identify using this ID sheet and the skills you learn on the day.
