Visit to Holyrood Lodge
Free to attend
SLE members are invited to visit Holyrood Lodge – a showcase of best practice when improving the energy efficiency of a traditional building – right in the heart of Edinburgh.
Historic Environment Scotland has created a Visitor Centre from this 1857 cottage. This year it has been given a new lease of life using the latest techniques for conserving traditional buildings. It has been equipped with features to increase its energy efficiency and weather resistance.
As SLE members are faced with the new energy efficiency minimum standards we encourage you to take this opportunity to see how the experts in historic buildings have approached this property.
Hear from the experts and see first hand the works they have carried out which have improved the energy efficiency of the property without risking its character or structure.
Holyrood Park Lodge – between Scottish Parliament and Holyrood House, Edinburgh.
This event is limited to 10 people so please book early to avoid disappoint. We can look to re-run the event if demand proves to be high.
