Members are invited to Southannan Estate, Fairlie, North Ayrshire to see how the estate has approached rotational grazing over the years for increased biodiversity and improved land management.
Farm manager Jordan Hibberd will take members through the processes and challenges of grazing both sheep and cattle on an estate that has varying terrains. We’ll also hear about how the estate is trialling using a small number of Luing cattle to try and control the amount of bracken on parts of Southannan.
