EPC Webinar Postponed
In conjunction with our host, Dr Moses Jenkins of Historic Environment Scotland, we have decided that it is best to postpone this webinar. This is because, in the continued absence of clear direction and information from regulators, we are unable to give accurate advice. To be able to do this we need:
- The UK Government to release the EPC assessment software update RdSAP10 as this will impact ratings and is likely to be beneficial to traditional buildings;
- The Scottish Government to conclude the EPC Reform consultation which may affect the way future regulations are framed;
- The publication of the Heat in Buildings Bill by Scottish Government which will set out the proposed regulation for existing buildings;
- The Scottish Government to provide a clear definition of “technically and legally feasible and cost effective” (which is the get-out clause they refer to for hard-to-treat buildings) and confirm who the arbiter for that will be; and
- Clarification on the financial threshold for energy efficiency improvements and the basis of determining eligible works.
Once SLE and HES are satisfied that the advice we can give is precise we will announce the rescheduled date for this webinar.
In the meantime, SLE encourages members that carry out any energy efficiency improvements to retain all documents and take a photographic record.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
