For our third WES Forum discussion and continuing our natural capital baselining theme, we will hear about the merits of eDNA as both a baselining and monitoring tool. Firstly, we will hear from NatureMetrics who will take us through how sampling for environmental DNA within soil and water environments can transform the understanding that land managers have of the species present on the land and how this knowledge can help inform a baseline as well as land management decisions. We will also hear from an accredited member, Highlands Rewilding, which has been using eDNA over the last 4 years to monitor the diversity of species present and how biodiversity is both growing and evolving under new management interventions. As always, there will be plenty of discussion time to air any questions you may have.
