The Busstop - Bankrugg Farm

FacebookTwitterShare

A small arable farm in East Lothian with a difference. Nine buses and “Bob the bus”, parked up with no where to go. Three luxury buses, hand crafted on the farm, all of them with wood fired hot tubs, rain showers, log fires, barbecues and star watching through the skylights at night in the luxury bedrooms. Or relax on the decking with the spectacular view of the Lammermuir hills in the vista. Pick your own eggs, have a photo opportunity with the alpacas, or just watch the new born lambs frolicking about in our small Hebridean flock.

Or if you prefer something different six rustic buses have just opened this May in a different site, all with their own hot tubs, log fires and fire pits/ barbecues. No electricity but just pop over to Bob the bus, where there are cookers, a fridge, WiFi, heating and seating for at least twenty people. There is also a communal toilet block/ showers with heating and plenty hot water.

On a sunny day sit outside Bob beside the barbecues, on the bespoke bus seating and watch the world pass by, or walk over to the farm pond and sit on the island. Watch the ducks swimming round in the tranquility of the area, how relaxing !

Our venture opened in 2016 with two luxury buses, and our third bus joined the luxury fleet this March. With our Rustic fleet opening in May we have already have confirmed more than 250 bookings this year. Everybody who visit are encouraged to walk to the local village ( Gifford ) and support the local community. And unbelievably our fourth visitors from Malta have just passed through, revelling in the green of Scotland, and obviously fascinated by buses and the beautiful East Lothian countryside.

We are unique and Agritourism at the very best !
