Louise Fotheringham

Nominee Summary

Louise has and continues to do a fantastic job of selling games feed not only in Scotland but across the UK. She is educating customers on the make up of feed, the benefits of minerals, raw materials etc. She is doing a great job in promoting shooting across the UK and voicing the importance and impact this has on the local and wider community. She is using social media and developing the ways to voice these matters. It’s been great to watch Louise flourish and expand on this fantastic business. She is helping organisations express the importance too.

Qualities

Louise goes above and beyond, gives up evenings and weekends to talk to customers, get feed out last minute, assist customers on rearing, release and feeding. She has gone out of her way to attend courses on social media, marketing and even qualifications to prescribe wormer in feed. Louise is always keeping up to date with what’s happening in the industry. Always developing and holding trials to assist customers and see how we can improve as a business. Louise continues to promote the rural sector, the importance and income it brings to the local area, businesses and the wider benefits.

Sectoral Impact

Louise has made a difference in the sector, from educating customers, explaining the feed, the manufacturing process and the importance of certain feeds at certain stages of a bird’s life. This has helped many customers thrive in their role and has gained trust in the company as well as Louise herself. Her strong presence on the business social media is well received. Louise created a fantastic poem on what/who benefits from a shoot season with feedback received far and wide across the UK including NI.

Going the extra mile

Louise went the extra mile recently by developing a new diet and working closely with a customer to run an onsite trial. This was great for Louise to bring this on herself and drive to see results. This was so successful that it has now been added to the Spratts feed programme. Louise even went out to watch a shoot day to see how the birds performed, again going above and beyond her role as a sales manager to witness for herself the true results. Louise then worked with the customer to do a write up on the trial which we hope to see published soon.
