Moovin Milk

'Moovin' Milk' was set up in 2019 by 2 brothers Andrew and Calum Telfer to diversify the family dairy farm into milk pasteurising. It is sold through a milk vending machine from a trailer, which can be transported to different local villages through the week. The brothers started the business wanting to bring more value to their cows and their milk, which are the oldest pedigree herd of Holstein Friesian cows in the UK, making sure they have a future in the industry.

They launched their venture during the Coronavirus pandemic making sure when all the restrictions were in place they were able to help our local villages ensure they had access to fresh milk everyday. The milk is only pasteurised not homogenised, so gives the milk its full potential creamy taste, making it more natural than supermarket milk, fresher and purer.

They are the only mobile milk vending machine in Scotland, and their business could not have happened without the help of local trades people and local businesses! From the designing of the bottle to the building of the pasteurising room, all achieved using businesses from the surrounding local area. The brothers also help other small business near where they place the trailer to encourage people to come shop local and help other small businesses like themselves.

The milk is sold in glass bottles which can be used over and over again, reducing the plastic use for milk! Food miles is at a bear minimum with the milk produced on the farm, pasteurised and then taken to the destination within a 10 mile radius of the farm. Cows are milked at 4.30am, pasteurised and put in the trailer to be taken to its location by 8.30am you cannot get any fresher than that!
