Sara describes herself as a land management consultant with a strong focus on environmental, social and economic community benefits. This is very much reflected in what people say about the way she engages with the community. She has had a successful career as a film and television consultant, including the role of Creative Director of BBC Children's at BBC Scotland. She was born in Kinlochbervie and has returned to manage the family estate since 2022.
Sara clearly has a passion for children which has been reflected in her career and the volunteering work she has done. She has also been active in various roles throughout the rural business and land management sector. Sara has joined the local deer management group and is a trustee of the West Sutherland Fisheries Trust. This demonstrates Sara's awareness and knowledge of the issues facing many land managers today. She is also taking on a key role in the Northwest 2045 project, where she will be liaising with landowners to support the outcomes of the project.
