The latest edition of #Route2050 was published in June 2025, it focuses on 'Land and Estates for the Future' and identifies immediate actions required of government for land managers in Scotland to respond to the challenges posed by climate change and volatile global markets. Beyond the need for immediate improvements to the delivery of policy and communication with the sector the report also identifies long-term asks of government.

Our publication #Route2050 – 'A direction of travel for Scottish land management to 2050' was originally published in September 2019.
In June 2022, we published an update to our #Route2050 ‘On Track for Rural Scotland’ strategy at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh. The document focused on immediate asks during the transition period to 2025 and outlined what rural support could look like beyond 2025.
