Appeal For Information Following Peregrine Falcon Death In Angus

Scottish Land & Estates today supported a police appeal for information following the death of a peregrine falcon in Angus.

The injured bird was found in distress in Glen Esk on September, 3, and the Scottish SPCA was called to attend. The falcon was later euthanised and following further investigations, the bird was found to have been shot.

Ross Ewing, Director of Moorland at Scottish Land & Estates, stated: "We support Police Scotland’s call for information regarding this case.

“It is our hope that the circumstances of the incident can be established as quickly as possible as we continue to strive to tackle all forms of crime against birds of prey.

“We would strongly encourage anyone who can help police with their investigation to contact them as soon as possible.”
