SLE Highland staff team strengthenedPress Release
Another new regional support officer for the Highlands & Islands has been appointed by Scottish Land & Estates.
Jen Campbell will work alongside fellow Highland RSO Megan Rowland, Highland Regional Chairman Gordon Robertson and the SLE Highland Committee in supporting and promoting rural businesses in the region.
Brought up on a livestock farm in the Highlands, Jen studied Rural Land Management at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU), Cirencester, before returning to Inverness to work as a land agent in 2009.
Most recently, Jen has developed a wealth of experience working as an agent at Rosehaugh Estate on the Black Isle and Brahan Estate near Dingwall prior to returning to her family farm near Invergordon, which she will manage alongside her part time role with SLE.
Jen Campbell said: “Throughout my 10 years working in the land management sector in the Highlands, SLE have always provided quality up to date industry information and been a constant source of learning material for my various roles.
“To be part of the team and work with a wide variety of Highland members and stakeholders is very exciting, and I am greatly looking forward to championing an industry and region I am immensely proud to be a part of.”
Sarah-Jane Laing, Executive Director of SLE, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Jen to the SLE staff team. Jen has great knowledge and experience of the issues faced by rural and land-based businesses and is another key addition to our regional support framework which has grown substantially over the past year. Together, Jen and Megan will make a great partnership for the Highland region and we look forward to the positive impact this will have upon our members.”
