A statement on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Press ReleaseFollowing the announcement of the death of Her Majesty The Queen, our Chairman Mark Tennant has shared the following statement:
"It was with profound sadness that we learned of the death of Her Majesty The Queen today. Queen Elizabeth The Second was a monarch admired and adored around the whole world, not least in her beloved Scotland. She loved Balmoral and it is of some comfort to a grieving nation to know it was there she spent her final weeks. Her Majesty dedicated her whole extraordinary life to the service of the country. She was arguably one of the most exceptional human beings in history. Her sense of duty was singular and universally renowned. She was a great lover of the Scottish countryside. Her loss is a tremendous blow to this country and will be felt in every corner of the world. She will be much missed by all of us. On behalf of members of Scottish Land & Estates I would like to send our condolences to His Majesty The King and The Royal Family.”
