Scottish Land & Estates’ parliamentary stall
Representatives from Scottish Land & Estates were fortunate enough to spend three days visiting Scottish Parliament this week with the aim of speaking to MSPs about the upcoming Helping it Happen Awards. Our National Awards scheme, this year sponsored by NatureScot, is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on those from all over rural Scotland who are partaking in work which is often overlooked or underappreciated.
With this in mind, the opportunity to share information and stories with MSPs about estates, businesses and projects being undertaken within their constituencies is one that had to be taken.
Our Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Laing, Policy Adviser (Rural Communities) Sarah Madden and I were thrilled to engage with a number of MSPs from across the political spectrum over our three days within Holyrood, discussing everything from housing to agriculture, and land reform, all in addition to the Helping it Happen Awards.
If you haven’t yet entered the awards, you have until 18 July to do so!
