South West Members Regional Reception

Our members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s South West Members’ Regional Reception, to be held at Buccleuch and Queensberry Arms Hotel, 112 Drumlanrig Street, Thornhill DG3 5LU at 4.00pm on Tuesday 22 November 2022.

Our theme is ‘Habitat Restoration’ and we have two excellent speakers.  Patrick Laurie, Times Bestselling Author of “Native: Life in a Vanishing Landscape” and Author and columnist Jamie Blackett of Arbigland Estate, who writes about farming and the countryside.

This is also your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. We’ll have an organisational and political update from SLE Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Laing; also, a policy update from SLE’s Vice Chair of Policy Dee Ward, and Head of Policy Stephen Young.

There will be a panel discussion and Q&A, providing plenty of opportunity for animated discussion and debate with fellow SLE members and colleagues.

This event provides an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues, your D&G Regional Chair Sir David Hope Dunbar, South of Scotland Regional Coordinator Clare Sturla and Clydeside Regional Support Officer Nic MacLeod.
