Members are warmly invited to join us at this year’s Highland Members’ Regional Reception which will be held at The Strathdearn, Tomatin, Inverness at 16:30 on Wednesday 11 November, 2026.
The Regional Receptions are your chance to hear all about the work the organisation is undertaking on your behalf at a national and regional level. SLE Chairman, Patrick Colquhoun, and Chief Executive, Sarah-Jane Laing, will present an organisational and political update; and SLE’s Director of Policy, Stephen Young, will run us through the policy updates of the past year. This year's event will also feature a presentation from Joyce Campbell, co-owner of Armadale Farm in Sutherland, who has pioneered a transformative shift from traditional sheep grazing to low intensity beef cattle and holistic land management - including extensive peatland restoration, in collaboration with Peatland ACTION and the Flow Country Green Finance Initiative. We will also hear from Ian Ross, Chair of the Flow Country Partnership, and Stuart Burbidge, Partner, Natural Capital & Sustainable Investment at Bidwells.
These events provide an excellent networking opportunity and the chance to meet with SLE Board members and colleagues, your Regional Chairs and fellow SLE members.
