Please give any “New Deal for Tenants” responses by Tuesday 12 April

As you will know, we are currently collating our response to the “New Deal for Tenants” draft strategy consultation (available to download at the bottom of this page). This is an important consultation as it will shape government thinking during this parliament around housing.

We have significant concerns around the content of the strategy and have outlined them in our draft consultation, this is still a working document, and we will continue to fine tune it before submission next Thursday.  We are awaiting some further legal opinion on elements around the eviction process and the final results of our member survey on housing intentions, both of which we will add to our answer.

Your feedback would be appreciated, and as we have mentioned previously, we would also encourage individual submissions if you are able, even if it is only answering a small number of questions.

This is a lengthy document, therefore if you only want to look at specific issues, please see the table below for the key issues, page number where it is referred to in the strategy and the question number in our response.
