Last year, Scottish Land and Estates hosted the Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards at the GWCT Scottish Game Fair. The event was a huge success in recognising those who are going over and above to deliver for country sports tourism.
Building on that success, SLE have partnered with the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) and Scotland's Regional Moorland Groups to create the Scottish Game Awards, which aims to celebrate innovation across the sporting sector. The awards, which will once again be hosted at the Scottish Game Fair in Scone, will cover four categories: Game Champion, Fishing Beat of the Year, Conservation and Sustainability in Sporting, and Gamekeeping Team of the Year.

With categories for fishing, game meat, conservation and sustainability as well as gamekeeping, these awards will recognise those going the extra mile to deliver amazing things for the sector. We strongly encourage members to nominate themselves, their employees and others for recognition.”
Mark Ewart, National Engagement Manager at Scotland’s Regional Moorland Groups, said: “Scotland’s Regional Moorland Groups are proud to be one of the partners behind the Scottish Game Awards, which we hope will help shine a spotlight on just some of the fantastic things our network of gamekeepers and shepherds are doing across the Scottish uplands. We very much look forward to receiving nominations and encourage anyone who is going the extra mile to put themselves forward.”
