We sit on Scotland’s Visitor Management Strategy group, along with various other organisations including Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SF&RS) who have recently provided tools to support local areas to target prevention activities which are directed by the local Area, as priorities differ across the country. SF&RS are also posting social media content across their various platforms and staff have been encouraged to work in partnership with other organisations to support their initiatives and reduce service demand.
SF&RS have three Service Delivery Areas (SDAs) – East, North and West, and a total of 14 Local Senior Officer (LSO) Areas (see list below). Each LSO Area is managed by an Area Commander with its own dedicated Prevention and Protection team.

A new group has been established, led by Group Commander Martyn Brandrick that will focus on deliberate fire reduction and this group will tie in with the SF&RS Wildfires Forum.
SF&RS has also recently seconded two members of staff to Water Safety Scotland who are also leading on SF&RS’s internal focus on water safety and they are coordinating a range of resources and supporting materials which may be of assistance.
