Bairnkine Farm Self Catering Holiday Cottages. The working farm is owned and farmed by Matt and Lucy Tile. It extends to just under 1100 acres, farming approximately 2000 sheep. At present we have two holiday cottages. These are Owl Cottage which sleeps six, and Wild Rose Cottage which sleeps five.

Supporting Scotland's Peatland Restoration BeadaMoss is a UK specialist grower of sphagnum moss and native peatland plants, supporting restoration projects across the UK and Europe. For more than 15 years we have supplied high-quality planting material to peatland partnerships, private estates, contractors, utilities and environmental organisations. Our BeadaHumok® sphagnum plugs provide an additional restoration tool for sites where vegetation establishment is needed, particularly restoring bare peat & severely degraded areas where suitable donor material is unavailable. Our bespoke Scottish sphagnum is produced under controlled conditions, the multi-species plugs are tailored to individual project requirements and help accelerate sphagnum establishment, stabilise peat and support long-term ecosystem recovery. Alongside plant supply, we offer practical advice on species selection, planting densities and restoration planning, while actively supporting research to strengthen the evidence base for peatland restoration.
