Highlands Rewilding aims to make natural capital work economically on our two estates, and we want to help others do the same by offering a win-win holistic data acquisition-and-analysis service. We measure our own carbon and biodiversity - in detail, in multiple habitats, using multiple techniques. We have a world-class science team of our own, and also work with the top natural capital measurement contractors and universities in the field. We have the expertise to measure carbon and biodiversity for other landowners, and make recommendations for land management changes based on our fast-growing data collection and optimisation capabilities. Our idea is to pay most of the costs of data acquisition on clients’ land with clients paying only a small contribution. As a reward for our investment and risk taking on clients behalf, we would receive a small share of any eventual natural capital revenues.
